The Penticton Regional Hospital is seeking a General Pathologist (AP/CP) to join our 4.8 FTE pathology team. Our group handles approximately 10,000 surgical pathology cases per year (17,000 LFE), 100 bone marrow biopsies, 500 cytopathology cases, and 50 autopsies annually. We are involved in quality assurance activities and the teaching of medical and laboratory students. Most services are covered under the provincial contract, with additional fee-for-service billing possible for bone marrow and coroner autopsies. Our practice is diverse and well-rounded, with close ties to local physicians and the surgical community, functioning as part of the larger diagnostic team.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced general pathologist, with extra experience in dermatology, breast, or GI pathology considered an asset. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to develop strong working relationships with hospital and laboratory staff are essential.
Leadership development opportunities are available through Interior Health’s NAVIG8 Program. This program is designed to build practical leadership skills for physicians early in their careers.
