Parking Enforcement Officers (PEOs) enforce on‑street parking bylaws and programs that promote safety, the free flow of traffic, access to and availability of parking for both the public and local businesses which contributes to our City’s livability and vibrant economy. The Parking Operations & Enforcement Branch is seeking auxiliary staff for pre‑scheduled and on‑call shifts. The Parking Enforcement Branch operates 7 days per week, 363 days a year and is open from 6:00 AM to midnight.
During high‑demand periods (winter, spring & summer vacation as defined by the Vancouver School Board) we require auxiliary staff to be available at least five days per week, including Saturday, Sunday and at least three weekdays on shifts between 6:15 AM and midnight. During low‑demand periods, at least three days per week including Saturday, Sunday and at least one weekday on shifts between 6:15 AM and midnight. Eight statutory holidays within a year.

A police record check and a driver’s licence check are required. A clearance requires the absence of any criminal charges or convictions related to this position.
A current and valid Class 5 BC Driver’s Licence or higher with a safe driving record is required.
