Overview
The Paint Shop Robotics Engineer will be responsible for programming and coordinating paint shop robots, conducting quality trials, and ensuring robotic paint processes meet production standards.
This role requires strong problem-solving skills, technical expertise, and effective communication with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Program paint shop robots.
- Coordinate trials to adjust quality for paint processes.
- Perform and create studies/programs using robot simulation software.
- Evaluate quality using tools such as elcometers, wavescan, and x-rite.
- Create handover documentation of robotic processes for the NAMCs.
- Lead, plan, coordinate, and communicate with the plant, production, pilot, and other engineering groups.

- Secondary school diploma or equivalent work experience.
- Willingness to work up to 50% overtime, including weekends, holidays, and shutdown periods.
- Ability to travel up to 50% (within North America and between Cambridge and Woodstock).
- Valid driver’s license with a motor vehicle record acceptable by company standards.
Should Have
- Experience with automated robotic paint shop applications.
- Experience with paint processes and quality confirmations.
- Experience with digital engineering, CATIA, and AutoCAD.
- Additional related certifications.
- Two-year technical degree in a related field.
