POSITION: Part-Time Homemaker – Independent Contractor

AREA: Kitchener - Cambridge - North Dumfries (and Surrounding Area)

SALARY: $22.00 per Hour (May be eligible for $24.00 per Hour)

Community Support Connections is currently recruiting Independent Contractors for its Homemaking Program to provide assistance with light housekeeping, laundry, and minor meal preparation only. Our Homemakers do not provide any personal hygiene care at all – no client bathing, dressing, lifting or biohazard cleaning whatsoever. Contract work is easier, safer and much more flexible for applicants who may have other family/parental obligations, another job or are pursuing part-time education. Many of our Homemakers are former/current/graduating PSW’s or working moms attracted by our competitive pay rate, lighter workload and flexible scheduling. Our clients include older adults and persons with disabilities, living within the Greater Kitchener-Cambridge-North Dumfries Area.

Community Support Connections screens Homemakers through reference and police checks, and then matches them with eligible clients. This position is part‑time with flexible hours. Clients pay a per‑hour set fee (2‑hour booking minimum) for the service, directly to the Homemaker.

SUITABLE CANDIDATES MUST HAVE:

• Exceptional cleaning skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Some experience with older adults and/or persons with disabilities
• Access to a reliable vehicle

Successful candidates must provide a recent Vulnerable Sector Police Check (VSPC) and three personal references (excluding family members) before they can join our Independent Contractor Team. Only those applicants selected for an interview will be contacted.
