Overview

Math Plus Tutors is currently seeking qualified educators to tutor Kindergarten to Grade 8 students at our Learning Centre. All of the following options are available starting in May: 1-to-1 tutoring in-person, and 1-to-1 tutoring online.

Responsibilities

Please submit a resume and cover letter outlining your preference for online or in-person sessions, your ability to teach in English and/or French, your ideal grade levels and subjects, and your corresponding qualifications. Only applicants selected for an interview will be contacted.

Qualifications

• Applicants may include current teachers, retired teachers, teacher candidates, early childhood educators, and educational assistants experienced in literacy.
• Subject matter includes language arts, mathematics, and science.
• Qualifications to teach students with special needs is an asset.
• Be familiar with grade level expectations in the Ontario Curriculum.
• Be patient, empathetic, positive and progress-oriented.
• Be able to respond to students' individual learning styles.
• Be able to obtain a Vulnerable Person's Police Clearance.
