Overview

Operator Weir ESCO — Port Hope, ON — Onsite

Shift Rotating

Employee Type Full Time - 6 Month Contract to Hire

New Increased Hourly Wages and Shift Premiums

Key Responsibilities

• Operate hand held grinders to safely remove excess metal from inside and outside castings
• Verify fit accuracy by correctly using gaging with different thickness feeler gauges
• Utilize hoist to manipulate castings to the proper position for fitting/gaging
• Keep track of the part identification
• Fill out shift pitch board to include current pitch and reasons if pitch is missed
• Keep work station in good order for the next shift/operator
• Occasionally the fitter will move by hand gaging weighing up to 50 pounds
• Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to zero harm behaviors in support of a world class safety culture

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications

• Previous experience in manufacturing is a plus
