CBI Home Health –is hiring an Operations Manager for the Specialized Community Services (SCS) in Saskatoon for the Children's Emergency Placement Homes. You are a dynamic leader with a proven track record of managing 24 hours per day, 7 days per week in community based homes who can effectively balance the needs of our supported individuals and business needs to achieve efficient operations and a quality service experience.

Reporting to the Director/Senior Operations Manager or designate you will oversee the efficient operation of multiple residences, while leading and coaching staff in the provision of quality service that ensures residents are living their best life. Leading by example, the Operations Manager is an integral part of the Leadership Team in creating a culture of excellence and quality care based on a Person-Centered approach.

In addition to overseeing the day-to-day administration of the home, the Operations Manager is also responsible for setting staff direction, ensuring resident outcomes are achieved and the appropriate systems and resources are in place to support workflow and supported individuals.

What You Will Do
  • Overseeing a residential service that is person centred and goal oriented.
  • Day to day provision of interactive leadership, guidance, support and direction to staff through coaching, mentoring, role while exemplifying CBI Home Health SCS Vision and Values.
  • Provides staff feedback on performance, including corrective action and as necessary develops performance improvement plans in consultation with human resources.
  • Liaises with support networks, collaterals and families where applicable in the development and actualization of the participants person-centred plan, including their care plan.
  • Manage ongoing maintenance of all residences and equipment ensuring monthly inspections are completed to ensure safety standards and licensing requirements are met.
  • Ensures necessary documentation, reporting requirements and contractual obligations are met or exceeded in accordance with CBI Home Health policies, Ministry of Social Service requirements and best practices.
What You Will Need To Be Successful
  • Diploma or degree or related experience in related field (e.g., Therapeutic Recreation, Continuing Care, Social Work or Nursing).
  • Minimum of five years experience overseeing a residential service.
  • Experience in providing training and consistent monitoring of staff related to personal and intimate care and medication administration.
  • Demonstrated track record of interactive, pro-active leadership and strong interpersonal, problem solving, staff development/training and resident experience skills.
  • An effective mentor who builds strong teams, effectively delegates responsibilities, monitors performance, and takes immediate action to correct performance.
  • Ensure quality assurance by conducting regular monitoring to ensure staff adhere to a disciplined approach to following processes to ensure a quality lifelong experience for residents.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills along with the ability to prioritize and juggle multiple demands simultaneously.
  • High professional standards; exercises the appropriate balance of influence and authority to achieve mutual success.
  • Knowledge of residential care licensing
  • Class 5 Driver’s License & reliable vehicle, and 2 million liability insurance on the vehicle that you will be using for work each day.
  • A satisfactory Criminal Record Check including Vulnerable Sector Search
  • Valid Standard/Intermediate First Aid and CPR Level C
  • Clear TB Test results
