In-Store Inventory Associate

We are seeking a detail-oriented In-store Inventory Associate to join our retail team! This individual is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels within the retail store to ensure efficient stock management and deliver the ultimate Atlas Experience to our customers.The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
Perform regular cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies.
Maintain up-to-date and accurate inventory records.
Ensure products are properly labeled and stored in the correct locations.
Rotate stock to ensure older inventory is sold first (FIFO).
Assist with year-end and periodic full-store inventory counts.
Assist with receiving TOs from the Distribution Center, verifying product quantities, and inspecting for damages.
Assist the Retail Operations team with stocking shelves and organizing displays according to store standards.
Monitor inventory levels and communicate with the retail operations team on restocking as needed.
Communicate low-stock items that are not auto-replenished to the DC teams.
Work closely with various teams, such as Warehouse, Sales, and Retail Operations, to ensure smooth coordination and communication related to inventory.
Prepare inventory reports and communicate any stock issues to the management team.
Work with the store leadership team to minimize shrinkage and prevent stock losses.
Identify and report missing, damaged, or defective products.
Follow company policies and best practices for inventory management.
Ensure fast-moving items are always available for customers.
Assist customers on a need basis to locate products and provide stock availability.
Respond to the in-store teams regarding inventory-related tasks.
Other responsibilities as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
A college diploma in supply chain management or equivalent.
Previous experience in retail, inventory management, or stock handling preferred.
Excellent Microsoft Excel skills. (Sorting and Filtering, VLookup, Basic formulas, Pivot tables)
Familiarity with the retail inventory system will be considered an asset.
Demonstrated problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Able to prioritize in a fast-paced work environment with high workload volumes, tight deadlines, and attention to detail is critical.
