Job Overview

  • Provide Cost estimating services to the business units
  • This includes understanding the scope of work, preparing detailed cost estimates, providing advise, guidance and direction on a wide range of projects (Civil/ Electriacl/ Mechanical/ l&C projects in a nuclear environment)
  • Develop conceptual, preliminary and release-quality engineering and cost estimates.
  • Develop project Basis of Estimate based on available information
  • Develop project take-offs and equipment counts based upon the specification/ drawings and include safety and security factors for nuclear projects.

Qualifications

  • Requires estimate preparation experience of 5+ years.
  • Requires experience associated with project estimate classification system.
  • Requires experience in engineering and construction management concepts, methods and techniques.
  • Requires experience in project design, construction, rehabilitation, and modification to appreciate the spectrum of work situations surrounding major projects and in particular to generating facilities.
  • Requires an understanding of generating facility planning, engineering, construction and operating practices including costing and scheduling practices and the use of relevant software.
