Qualifications:

  • Registration (member in good standing) with the provincial College of Occupational Therapists
  • Experience with Psychotherapy is a must
  • 1-5 years of experience required
  • Previous experience treating clients with physical, mental health and/or neurological conditions
  • Ability to be autonomous; working both independently and as part of the team
  • Experience supporting occupational rehabilitation is a strong asset
  • Previous experience supporting auto insurance, long terms disability and WSIB referrals a strong asset
  • A valid driver’s license and have access to a reliable vehicle

R esponsibilities:

  • Creating and implementing individualized treatment plans based on analysis and clinical reasoning
  • Educating clients on topics such as pacing, pain, cognitive behavioral strategies and task modification strategies to help improve function.
  • Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team of professionals including physiotherapists, kinesiologists, psychotherapists, physicians and psychologists
  • Participating in case conferences and case management
  • Supporting return to work programs
  • Utilizing e-charting software to document treatment sessions; submitting reports to stakeholders in a timely manner
  • Managing caseload in a fast paced environment
