Reporting to the Health & Safety Superintendent, you will be part of the Health & Safety Department. You will be responsible for working collaboratively with the Detour Lake Medical Director, mine site physician assistants, Wellness Manager and Human Resources partners to implement and monitor the occupational health and wellness program. Your role will emphasize education, surveillance, and prevention, with an increased awareness of overall wellbeing. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
Develop a preventative health environment ensuring compliance with all policies, legislation and regulations affecting health and medical requirements.
Coordinate medical surveillance testing program including employee follow up contact
Manage and maintain the digital records software for medical surveillance in accordance with patient privacy requirements.
Follow up as required with workers regarding injury and illness incidents in collaboration with site physician assistants and Wellness manager
Support WSIB case management and collaborate with workers and management teams to develop return to work assessments and plans.
Develop and implement employee health education and promotion programs to promote healthy lifestyles
Collaborate with community health care partners and refer employees as required.
Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
