Job summary

A Canadian construction firm is seeking a Buyer to join the team supporting the Darlington New Nuclear Project. The Buyer will negotiate and procure various commodities and services while ensuring best value and compliance with procurement processes. With a focus on Nuclear safety materials, candidates must have relevant experience in procurement, strong negotiation skills, and a background in Nuclear construction. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a significant project in the Canadian energy sector.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in Nuclear Construction Industry procurement or 8+ years in conventional procurement.
• Enrollment in or completion of PMAC’s Accreditation Program is preferred.
• Valid Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate and procure subcontracted services and components for Nuclear Power Plants.
• Prepare and issue Request for Quotation (RFQ/RFP) to vendors.
• Monitor and update major procurement package progress in P6 schedule.
