CPA Articling Student – Public Practice Salary: $45-$50K | Location: Surrey, B.C. | Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Overview:

This firm is seeking a motivated CPA Articling Student to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain comprehensive public practice experience, work closely with senior professionals, and develop the skills necessary for a successful CPA career.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the preparation of year-end working papers and financial statements
  • Prepare corporate (T2) and personal (T1) tax returns, as well as GST/PST filings
  • Perform bookkeeping, reconciliations, and general accounting tasks for clients across industries
  • Communicate effectively with clients and team members to ensure accurate and timely delivery of services
  • Contribute to process improvements and efficient workflow management
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Enrolled or eligible to enroll in the CPA PEP program
  • Previous public practice experience (co-op, internship, or 1–2 years) is an asset
  • Proficiency with accounting and tax software such as Caseware, TaxCycle, Profile, QuickBooks, or similar
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
