Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the growth of TD Canada Trust’s mortgage lending channel by pursuing credit facilities secured by real estate and expanding the client base.
  • Target and develop relationships with mortgage brokers, builders, planners and other centers of influence to generate references and new business opportunities.
  • Receive sales training focused on mortgage credit and sales skills; integrate into TD’s employee culture and team.
  • Work closely with the sales manager to achieve success, including joint calling and monthly coaching sessions; operate within a sales management system designed to support your performance.
  • Prospect proactively to build a client portfolio and manage relationships with clients through effective service and follow-up.
  • Utilize a comprehensive training and onboarding program to accelerate integration into the TD organization and team.
  • Enjoy a compensation plan that includes a competitive commission structure and several sales support initiatives, tools, and resources (e.g., laptop, email, network access, monthly phone allowance).

Qualifications
  • Highly motivated candidate with initiative and exceptional sales skills.
  • Independent, autonomous professional with a talent for developing new business in a competitive, evolving market.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, customer service, networking and client relationship management skills.
  • Industry knowledge: knowledge of retail banking or credit approval processes is preferred.
  • Post-secondary education is an asset.
