Position

The Mill Clerk provides essential administrative and data support to mill operations, ensuring accurate records, smooth coordination of travel and schedules, and reliable documentation across departments. The role maintains filing systems, processes data, supports payroll and billing tasks, and collaborates with operations, maintenance, and H&S teams to keep daily activities running efficiently.

Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive clerical support to the mill department, including filing, data entry, documentation management, and supply procurement.
  • Maintain and organize computerized filing systems, ensuring accurate labeling, archiving, and retrieval of mill-related documents.
  • Perform data entry in spreadsheets and key operational systems (Oracle, Vizia, EAM) while ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
  • Support administrative processes related to expense reports, billing, credit memos, receiving, accounts payable, and payroll.
  • Manage and update training records, assist with inventory counts, and prepare data for weekly and monthly reporting.
  • Coordinate travel, scheduling, transportation, and accommodations for mill personnel, working closely with travel and camp teams.
  • Collaborate with supervisors, operations, maintenance, and H&S teams to support logistics, compliance activities, and daily staffing requirements.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives, contributing to increased administrative efficiency and streamlined workflows.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma with related post-secondary training and/or advanced business and management courses.
  • A minimum of 3 years of related work experience.
  • On-site/camp experience is considered an asset.
Skills & Strengths
  • Computer literate and proficient in word processing, data entry, spreadsheets, and PC based presentation graphics.
  • Working Knowledge with MS Office package is required particularly the use of Excel and Power Point.
  • Experience with ERP systems like Oracle, SAP or similar is required.
  • Effective communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Proven ability to balance several tasks simultaneously and excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work with others in a team environment.
  • Flexibility to undertake a variety of assignments.
  • Pleasant and courteous in interpersonal interactions.
  • Fluency in English; French would be an asset.
  • Highly motivated and independently driven with a sense of urgency.
  • Ability to create dash boards using the power of BI is a great advantage

Salary Range: $70,800-$106,200 + bonus.
