Qualifications

• Registered Nurse registration with BCCNM required.
• Two years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and training.
• Valid Class 5 B.C. Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle with insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provides clinical nursing services to clients and families.
• Educates caregivers and professionals on mental health issues.
• Administers prescribed psychotropic medication.
• Consults with interprofessional care team members.
• Documents assessments and interventions according to practice standards.

Skills

Ability to network with other services and agencies

Ability to teach and provide consultation

Knowledge of mental health and substance use treatment

Counselling and group facilitation skills

Education

Current registration as a Registered Nurse and/or Registered Psychiatric Nurse
