Duties

In a developmental capacity serve as a professional meteorologist in the organization for meteorological issues affecting the organization's ability to accomplish its mission.

  • Performs recurring developmental work assignments.
  • In a developmental capacity, participates in special initiatives, studies and projects.
  • Participates in meetings, assists with presentations and prepares routine correspondence.
  • Prepares written correspondence and other documentation.
Requirements
  • U.S. Citizenship Required
  • Males must be registered for Selective Service, see www.sss.gov
  • A security clearance may be required
  • PCS expenses, if authorized, will be paid IAW JTR and Air Force Regulations
  • This posn is subject to provisions of the DoD Priority Placement Program
  • Employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours, to include evenings, weekends and/or holidays
  • Employee must maintain current certifications
  • Disclosure of Political Appointments
  • Student Loan Repayment may be authorized
  • Recruitment Incent may be authorized for this position
  • Leave accrual may be authorized upon request
  • Two (2) year formal training program for a Master's degree and a three (3) year formal training program for a Bachelor's degree.
  • Total salary varies depending on location of position.
  • Successful completion of all training and regulatory requirements as identified in the applicable training plan.
