A regional health authority in Salmon Arm is seeking a Casual Mental Health and Substance Use Crisis Response Worker to deliver mobile crisis intervention and assessment services. This role involves providing direct clinical supports to clients with serious mental health and substance use challenges, conducting assessments, and facilitating access to specialized services. Interior Health is seeking a casual Mental Health and Substance Use (MHSU) Crisis Response Worker to join our Mental Health team at the Salmon Arm Health Centre in beautiful Salmon Arm, B.C.
The Crisis Response Worker functions as a member of the larger Hospitals & Communities Integrated Services (HCIS) health care team and as a member of a specific multi-disciplinary team whose purpose is to provide direct and indirect mobile crisis intervention and mental health clinical services. The Crisis Response Worker ensures that persons with serious mental health problems and/or problematic substance use or withdrawal management issues have access to timely, responsive, evidence based treatment and clinical supports across the continuum of available services.
The Crisis Response Worker provides crisis response, assessment, suicide intervention, short term treatment planning, time limited case management and, as required, rapid response to clients who may also have serious functional impairment in the domains of physical health and personal, family, financial, occupational, and social life. The Crisis Response Worker functions as a primary clinician for short periods of time utilizing a variety of specialized treatment modalities/therapies for individuals, groups of clients and/or their families.
Shift types are days and evenings and shift times are from 09:00 to 17:00, 13:30 to 21:30, 10:00 to 18:00. This is a Casual opportunity. Casual means there are no guaranteed hours and work requirements can vary from 0 - 37.5 hours per week.
