This role is responsible for providing general nursing care while functioning as a member of both nursing and multi-disciplinary teams within the Mental Health and Addictions portfolio, including Morningstar Centre and Rapid Access Addiction Medicine (RAAM) programs and ensuring client needs are met.

Responsibilities

This role is responsible for providing general nursing care while functioning as a member of both nursing and multi-disciplinary teams within the Mental Health and Addictions portfolio, including Morningstar Centre and RAAM programs and ensuring client needs are met.

Qualifications

• Currently registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Specialized training or certification in concurrent disorders preferred
• Firm understanding of concurrent disorders and associated treatment modalities
• Knowledge, skills and experience in assessment, treatment & rehabilitation, crisis management, advocacy and principles of PSR
• Ability to work as a team and collaborate with others including members from other community organizations
• Advanced skills in reasoning, problem solving, decision-making and workload organization
• Advanced communication skills
• Previous experience working as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
• Valid Ontario Driver’s License
• Access to a reliable vehicle and acceptable insurance
• Must have demonstrated regular attendance at work
• Required to work flexible hours and rotating shift
