Job description

Type of position: Regular

Your future role on our team

You’ll join our mechanical engineering team specialized in pumping systems. In this role, you’ll participate in engineering, technology selection and the execution of mechanical and multidisciplinary projects in the mining, energy and heavy industry sectors. Over time, you’ll also play a key role in coordinating related disciplines, such as civil, structural, electrical and automation engineering.

Specifically, you’ll contribute to all phases of engineering projects, from front-end studies to detailed engineering and construction. Your projects will include designing and implementing pumping stations, dewatering systems and tailings pumping facilities.

  • Perform complex hydraulic calculations using simulation software
  • Design pumping systems
  • Make technical choices in establishing designs, provide recommendations, and make decisions on highly technical and complex issues
  • Prepare engineering documents
  • Draft technical reports
  • Help prepare proposals
  • Participate in various project phases, from studies and detailed engineering to site support and commissioning
  • Conduct onsite technical audits and technical information surveys
  • Assist with system commissioning and troubleshooting
  • Coordinate related disciplines (civil, structural, electrical and automation)
  • Help develop and improve efficient tools and work methods
  • Develop your expertise through mentorship from senior engineers and BBA University
