We are seeking a Mechanical & Electrical Estimating Student forour Toronto District that is available for a minimum of 4 months starting in January 2026 .

Heres how a Mechanical & Electrical Estimating Student at our Toronto office contributes to the team :

Responsibilities

• Understand and utilize PCLs estimating manuals systems and forms.
• Review quantity survey assignment with lead estimator or Chief Estimator.
• Gets the chance to perform assigned quantity survey and transfer quantities to the lead estimator.
• Provides quantities of major purchase items to purchasing department for pricing.
• Creates an impact by performing general subtrade solicitation duties and helping with bid document control.
• Has the opportunity to perform bid day assignments.
• Experiences visiting the job sites periodically.
• Develops relationships with subcontractors.
• Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications

• Candidates must have a strong desire to work in a construction environment and prior field construction experience will be considered an asset.
• Application of various computer software programs will be required including word processing spreadsheet applications and drafting.
