Responsibilities
- Performs troubleshooting, electronic diagnostics, repairs and servicing on power trains, electrical, charging, hydraulic and fuel systems on a variety of vehicles, equipment and machinery; periodically performs welding and fabrication duties. The work is completed in both shop and field locations.
- Operates all tools and equipment of the trade, including standard office equipment.
- Maintains all tools and equipment clean and in a safe working condition; keeps the work area clean and free of hazards to ensure a safe workplace.
- Inspects and adjusts air brake systems to ensure compliance with the National Safety Code, Ministry of Transportation and B.C. Motor Vehicle Act.
- Completes work orders and various other written records related to work activities.
- Participates in courses that are required to learn new and continuously changing trades technologies.
Qualifications
- Trade Ticket – Heavy Duty Mechanic or Automotive Mechanic or Commercial Vehicle Mechanic
- BC Driver’s License – Class 3 with Air ticket

$45.69 per hour
