Summer Student Engineering Positions 2026

Elk Valley Resources (EVR) operates four steelmaking coal mines that employ over 5,000 people in the Elk Valley of British Columbia. We are committed to responsible resource development, environmental performance and building strong partnerships with communities and Indigenous Peoples.

Requirements
  • Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies.
  • Working towards an Undergraduate degree in a relevant field and must be returning to full‑time post‐secondary education in the Fall/Winter 2026/2027.
  • Motivated self‑starters with the ability to manage several projects simultaneously.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in variable weather conditions. Some positions require operating vehicles and working in dirty, noisy work environments.
  • Previous work experience in a technical or engineering environment is an asset.
  • Create and evaluate innovative ideas and technologies to help improve the way we do business.
  • Responsibilities include but are not limited to data processing and reporting, field support, engineering design, and project management.
