What you will do

Supporting our Data Center Solutions (DCS)/Silent-Aire group, you will oversee a team of inventory and warehouse employees. You will be responsible for the management and handling of all raw and finished goods inventory and all warehousing and distribution functions. Optimizing inventory control procedures, analyzing product and supply levels, managing a tool crib and leading the team to ensure efficient operations.

How you will do it
  • Perform regular data analysis to predict potential inventory issues and develop mitigation strategies while fostering an outstanding organizational and problem-solving skills to address inventory-related challenges efficiently.
  • Perform regular data analysis, and visual inspections to ensure the tools are properly tracked and in working order.
  • Manage employee scheduling, including shifts, breaks, and vacations, to ensure adequate staffing levels.
  • Monitor and review employee performance, provide coaching, feedback, and recognition. Additionally, hire and train new employees, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to perform their roles effectively.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, purchasing, and production departments to optimize material specifications, streamline processes, and resolve any issues related to material availability or quality.
  • Utilize inventory management software (e.g., Sage) and data analysis techniques to optimize inventory levels and forecast future requirements.
  • Exhibit excellent communication and leadership abilities to effectively coordinate with the team and other stakeholders.
  • Play a critical role in our EHS program, including incident investigations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
What we look for
Required
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field
  • Minimum of 6 years of inventory experience in a similar environment
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory and people management experience
  • Solid knowledge of data analysis, inventory management software (e.g., Sage), and forecasting techniques
  • Possess an analytical mindset with a strong attention to detail, coupled with outstanding organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities
  • Ability to work rotating day shifts
Preferred
  • In-depth understanding and attention to detail regarding Bill of Materials (BOM) information, including the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues arising from incomplete or conflicting data
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with multiple departments, provide comprehensive explanations
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and track open items to completion
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in Manufacturing Operations, MRP/ERP systems, and Inventory Management, including implementing best practices
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, and data analysis tools to manipulate and interpret complex data sets

$68,000-96,000 CAD (Salary to be determined by the education, experience,knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with marketdata.)
