A leading financial services provider in Toronto is looking for an experienced Managing Director for Private Markets. This role involves advising business leadership, delivering strategic financial analysis, and leading a finance team. Candidates should have over 10 years of financial management experience and a strong understanding of private markets. The position offers a hybrid working arrangement and competitive compensation, including a salary range of CAD 123,400 - CAD 229,300.
Reporting to the Head of Finance, Public and Private Markets this position plays a key leadership role in advising the business and supporting the execution of strategic plans for Private Markets. The position will provide opportunities to demonstrate competencies such as business insight, strategic thinking, process improvements, relationship management, and team leadership.

The Managing Director, Finance, MIM Private Markets is a highly accountable finance professional. Leading a team of finance professionals, the incumbent is accountable for supporting and working directly with the business and senior leadership to articulate the strategic and financial story and provide strategic insights, analysis and advice throughout the reporting and product development cycle. In addition, this position is responsible for proactively driving the development and infrastructure to drive enhanced process efficiency in the team function while continuing to maintain a high focus on driving insight to the business. This person is a highly engaged leader that is instrumental in team development and engagement for the entire WAM Finance organization (including shared services) and will influence outside of direct lines of accountability to ensure valuable advice and analysis to all of the Private Markets business partners.
Position Responsibilities :
Proactively meet the needs of the Finance and Business senior management, provide valuable analysis demonstrating understanding of underlying transactions, business drivers and trends
This role is critical in providing strategic financial advice to the Global Head of Private Markets and other business leaders (e.g. the private markets ExCo) and other GWAM leadership (e.g. the GWAM CFO) with respect to financial modelling, product and profitability analysis and M&A, and other business-related activities including various project work and KPI tracking.

Salary range is expected to be between
