Eyeline is looking for a Manager, VFX Production Finance, reporting to the Senior Manager, VFX Production Finance. This individual will work cross-functionally with Production, Finance Planning & Analysis (FP&A) and Accounting. The Manager, VFX Production Finance is responsible for monitoring and tracking cost projections & actuals across assigned projects, generates cost reports for evaluation on a regular basis, and directly supports visual effects productions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner closely with Studio Leadership, VFX Executives, Producers and Production teams on the financial management of assigned productions; including financial review of bids and bid revisions, client-facing financial reporting, and internal cost projections
  • Assist VFX Producers and Production Leadership with running financial scenarios, Production-focused analysis and other ad hoc analysis as needed
  • Update / manage revenue expectations and payment schedules in internal trackers for assigned productions and coordinate invoicing and collections
  • Manage cost reports, monitor and analyze project progression and changes in cost projections and actuals across assigned projects, performing departmental variance analysis
  • Proactively monitor resource and labor projections and keep track of tax credit / rebates / grant qualifications, across multiple countries / regions
  • Supports freelance outsource tracking, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Review payroll data for assigned productions for accuracy and facilitate adjustments or reclassifications
  • Works with the FP&A, Production and Accounting teams to ensure accurate calculations for earned and deferred revenue under US GAAP
Qualifications
  • Five (5) years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor Degree & Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) preferred
  • Advanced Excel skill set, Power Query experience is a plus
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles under US GAAP
  • Experience in the Film Industry or Animation (VFX preferred)
  • Ability to manage priorities, work towards tight deadlines, and be a self-starter
  • Strong verbal & written communication skills

$120,000 - $150,000 a year

This salary range is specific to applicants applying to our position in Vancouver, BC. To determine your base salary, we consider your qualifications, skills, and experience. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary outside of this range and will also be dependent on your location.
