The opportunity

Manager, Business Finance Hybrid - 3 days onsite Scarborough, Ontario

Reporting to the Director of FP&A, the Manager, Business Finance is a high-impact individual contributor role at Teva Canada, supporting the Commercial team. This position is responsible for delivering comprehensive financial planning, forecasting, and monthly performance analysis to drive strategic business objectives. As a trusted business partner, the Manager provides consultative financial advice, supports investment management (IM), and champions key strategic initiatives.

The role requires close collaboration with commercial stakeholders, the broader FP&A team, and the Global Business Services (GBS) team. It leverages automation and enterprise tools (e.g., SAP, BI platforms) to enhance reporting efficiency and decision support. The Manager plays a critical role in monthly reporting, financial modeling, and delivering actionable insights that enable data‑driven decision‑making across the organization.

This is a fast‑paced, dynamic role that demands strong business and financial acumen, along with the agility to prioritize and align activities with the organization’s strategic goals.

How you’ll spend your day
  • Lead the quarterly, annual and multi‑year planning and forecasting processes for supported business units.
  • Conduct monthly financial analysis, including variance analysis, performance tracking, and scenario modeling.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive monthly reporting packages to management, highlighting key trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance financial models to support business decisions and long‑term planning.

Business Partnership & Decision Support:

  • Act as a trusted business partner to cross‑functional teams, providing consultative financial advice to senior commercial and operational leaders.
  • Support investment management (IM) activities, including business case development, financial due diligence, and post‑investment reviews.
  • Provide decision support to enable strategic initiatives, cost optimization, and resource allocation.
  • Provide timely financial insights and recommendations to drive business performance and growth.

Strategic Change Management & Automation:

  • Lead or support strategic change management projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and organizational priorities.
  • Partner with the global business services team to drive process improvements, automation, and digital transformation in finance.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to streamline reporting and analysis through automation and BI best practices.

Build and maintain effective partnerships with internal stakeholders, including global business services, local commercial and operations teams.

Communicate complex financial information in a clear, concise, and actionable manner to both financial and non‑financial stakeholders.

Support ad hoc analysis, special projects, and continuous improvement initiatives as required.

Other Duties as Assigned:

Your experience and qualifications
  • Education Required: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field. Advanced degree (CPA, CFA, or MBA) is an asset.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in financial planning & analysis, business finance, or related roles. Working knowledge of US GAAP and/or IFRS.
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry is an asset.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong business acumen and partnership orientation.
  • Ability to work independently as an IC and within cross‑functional teams.
  • Proven ability to provide consultative advice and decision support.
  • Strong experience with ERP systems (especially SAP) and business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI) is required.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial modeling.
  • Demonstrated experience with automation and process improvement.
