Manager, Business Intelligence Overview
The Manager, Business Intelligence is a technical and strategic leader responsible for shaping and executing the BI vision that empowers Four Seasons to deliver exceptional guest experiences and drive operational excellence across our global portfolio of hotels, resorts, residences, and journey business. Reporting to the Senior Director, Data Engineering, this role leads a high-performing team in designing and delivering enterprise-wide dashboards, reports, and data solutions that directly support our brand's commitment to personalized service and world-class hospitality.

- The ideal candidate combines deep expertise in BI platforms, data modeling, and reporting frameworks with proven leadership experience managing BI teams and projects. They are passionate about using data to drive decision-making, understand data governance and enterprise-scale reporting systems, and thrive in a collaborative environment. Strong communication skills with both technical and business stakeholders and a continuous drive for innovation are essential.
- Shape and execute the BI vision to drive transformation and innovation across Four Seasons' global portfolio by leading a BI team to deliver enterprise-grade reporting and analytics. Ensure initiatives align with business strategy, IT architecture, and governance to provide trusted insights for strategic decisions.
- Leverage data and analytics to enhance guest experiences and optimize business outcomes, supporting Four Seasons' mission of personalized service and operational excellence through dashboards and reports that enable data-driven decisions.
- Collaborate with business and technology teams to turn strategic objectives into actionable BI initiatives. Partner with stakeholders to ensure solutions meet evolving needs while maintaining data quality and governance.
- Champion modern BI technologies and self-service capabilities to foster a data-driven culture. Standardize and modernize BI platforms, and mentor team members to build an innovative, high-performing BI function.

What You'll Be Doing
Business Intelligence Leadership & Strategy
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of BI solutions, ensuring scalability, reliability, and operational excellence.
- Guide the BI team in building intuitive dashboards, reports, and data models that support business decision-making.
- Implement governance, best practices, and standards for reporting and dashboard creation.
- Collaborate with business leaders to define KPIs and ensure alignment with corporate objectives.
- Drive continuous improvement in BI processes through feedback loops, retrospectives, and technical reviews.
- Conduct Power BI training sessions for colleagues across functions to build data literacy and confidence.
- Promote self-serve BI by empowering teams with the right tools, training, and data access.
- Foster a company-wide culture of evidence-based decision-making by ensuring consistent access to accurate, timely, and business-relevant insights.
- Enable alignment on business metrics and KPIs across functions by promoting standardized dashboard templates and common data definitions.
- Encourage stronger collaboration between business functions and the BI team by facilitating regular feedback sessions, joint solutioning, and cross-functional analytics projects.

Data Architecture & Governance
- Collaborate closely with Data Architects to co-develop BI data models that align with enterprise architecture principles and support scalable reporting solutions.
- Support the metadata management practices, including data catalogs and business glossaries, to enhance data discoverability and trust.
- Support seamless integration of diverse internal and external data sources into BI solutions, enabling comprehensive and unified analytics across the enterprise.
- Promote the use of consistent semantic layers and standardized KPIs to ensure that reporting outputs are aligned, comparable, and well-understood by all users.
Operational and Delivery Responsibilities
- Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of BI initiatives that meet business needs.
- Coordinate cross-functional collaboration to align BI delivery with IT strategy.
- Track and manage BI project milestones, risks, and deliverables.
- Translate strategic goals into tactical execution plans for the BI team.
- Facilitate regular reporting on performance metrics and project status to stakeholders.
What You Bring
- Minimum 5-8 years in Business Intelligence or related analytics role.
- Proven track record of delivering enterprise BI projects and solutions using Azure-based platforms and Power BI.
- Experience managing and mentoring BI professionals and leading high-impact analytics initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree Required; MBA preferred
- Strong leadership presence and ability to inspire a high-performing team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and sound judgment in complex situations.
- Self-motivated with a high degree of initiative and accountability.

Technical Skills and Knowledge
- Strong understanding of data architecture, data modeling, and visualization best practices, working with large data sets.
- Expertise in Microsoft Power BI, DAX, AAS, and Azure BI tools (ADLS, ADF, Synapse, etc.).
- Advanced SQL and data modeling skills, including star and snowflake schemas.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control, and agile development practices for BI projects.
- Experience with data governance, metadata management, and implementing access and security protocols.
- Understanding privacy and compliance requirements in enterprise data environments.
- Confluence, Jira, TestRail, Visio preferred.
- Strong experience with MS Excel.
Hybrid Working Model
This role will be a Hybrid working model, which will require 3 days per week at our temporary 20 York Mills Road, Toronto, Ontario location with travel, as needed, to our the Four Seasons Corporate Office located at 1165 Leslie Street, Toronto, Ontario #LI-Hybrid
