Job summary

Job description

The County of Hastings is currently accepting applications for a Temporary Full-Time Maintenance Supply Technician with Hastings Quinte Paramedic Services.

Responsibilities
  • Perform basic maintenance and effect repairs to patient care equipment and accessory equipment including ambulance cots.
  • Perform minor maintenance and housekeeping duties at bases.
  • Perform minor maintenance, deep cleaning and stocking of vehicle.
  • Perform testing on oxygen and suction equipment.
  • Monitor and maintain levels of patient care supplies, other equipment and disposable medical supplies.
  • Generate orders for equipment and supplies.
  • Maintain equipment records as required.
  • Such other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications
  • Secondary School Graduation Diploma.
  • Must possess a valid class “G” or “F” driver’s license, clear driver’s abstract and clear criminal record check.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft applications and web based inventory management systems.
  • Must have excellent written and oral communications and organizational skills with the ability to take initiative, work independently, and handle multiple projects at the same time.
  • Certification in oxygen/suction testing and cot maintenance and previous experience working in Emergency Medical Services is desirable.
  • Physically able to perform duties including ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Hours of Work

Monday to Friday, 8-4:30, 40hrs per week

Wage Range

$27.60 - $30.33/hr + 14% in lieu of benefits + 4% vacation per pay
