Maintenance Supervisor – Pursuit Collection, Jasper, AB

Full‑time position

Responsibilities

• Supervise maintenance work and activities of the property
• Shift work including general building maintenance, landscaping, snow removal, and parking lot cleaning
• Coordinate maintenance activities with the Hotel Manager and other affected departments
• Assist with maintenance and upkeep of staff housing units as needed
• Coordinate all property renovations
• Perform preventive maintenance and ensure proper documentation through a maintenance logbook, limble, and email
• Train and mentor maintenance workers in all aspects of property maintenance
• Prepare schedules for maintenance workers and ensure all shifts are covered
• Demonstrate thorough knowledge of fire, safety, emergency procedures and pool maintenance
• Assist with payroll control for the Maintenance Department
• Assist the Director of Facilities with major guest room repairs and other areas
• Report to the Director of Facilities & Hotel Manager on project completion or any hurdles

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a related maintenance field (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, pool treatment, painting)
• Excellent mechanical ability and knowledge
• Ability to train, mentor, and direct staff while providing innovative solutions
• Administrative competence and basic computer skills
• Creative thinking and problem‑solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to foster pride in work
• Knowledge of tools and their uses
• Strong workload management and multitasking ability
• Flexible shift work (day or night) and valid Class 4 Alberta driver’s license is a plus
• Steel‑toed work boots required; uniform supplied after 1 year of completed service
