Job description
Overview

Job Title: Maintenance Electrician

Appointment Type: Full-time Continuing

Hours per week/FTE: 40

Reporting to: Manager of Utilities

Responsibilities
  • Inspect, repair, and maintain Lethbridge Polytechnic’s electrical systems.
  • Maintenance of high voltage loops, transformers, all building electrical systems, fire alarm systems, lighting, emergency generators and transfer switches, and disconnect switches.
  • Respond to work order requests and participate in some projects (e.g., IMP lighting and project management).
  • Maintain work to the campus buildings electrical systems.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance and inspections of the fire alarm system, emergency plants, emergency lighting, and other safety equipment.
  • Install electrical equipment on campus renovation projects.
  • Perform inspections, repairs and scheduled maintenance of the high voltage loop.
  • On-call rotation is required.

Preferred Qualifications & Salary

Salary: AUPE Class Level 11, Step 1 to Step 5 per annum ($64,985.12 to $76,870.35).
