Under the supervision of the Production Leader, the Extruder operator is in charge of the smooth running of the manufacturing process in order to produce according to the company’s quality and quantity requirements.

Training: As the new line comes into operation in the Fall of 2025, the candidates will be trained for 4 weeks in Italy in a similar SOPREMA plant. This training is planned for June 2025 and is mandatory.

THE CHALLENGES WE HAVE FOR YOU

• Drive the automated manufacturing process, correct drifts and ensure productivity;
• Perform equipment inspections and cleaning according to procedures;
• Adjust equipment to meet specifications;
• Verify product quality according to established standards;
• Perform first-level maintenance tasks;
• Ensure proper communication and transmission of information between teams;
• Suggest measures to improve production activities and occupational health and safety;
• Perform any other related tasks requested by the supervisor.

THE SKILLS WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Education :

• High school diploma;
• Mechanical or chemical education (An asset).

Knowledge and Competencies :

• Minimum 3 years of experience working on a production line;
• Experience in the chemical industry, especially in the processing of plastics (An asset);
• Experience in a leadership position (An asset).
• Knowledge of panel-controlled machine;
• Knowledge of industrial maintenance (An asset);
• Experience in reporting results, working with the ERP system (An asset);
• Knowledge of the French language (An asset).

Working conditions :

• Day shift – Either M-F 8 hours a day, or M- TH 10 hours a day.
• Hourly salary between $25- $29

Physical requirements :

• Handling of loads up to 50 lbs.
