Our client is seeking an M&A Due Diligence Contractor to assist with assessing potential acquisition targets through detailed financial analysis, operational review, and risk identification. The role involves working alongside external advisory firms and ensuring acquisitions align with strategic, financial, and operational goals. This is a part-time, remote position with some variability in workload.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct comprehensive financial and operational due diligence on potential acquisition targets.
  2. Review financial statements, tax returns, contracts, legal documents, and operational data.
  3. Coordinate with internal teams (finance, operations, legal) and external advisors (legal counsel, accounting firms) during the diligence process.
  4. Prepare clear and concise reports highlighting key findings, risks, and opportunities.
  5. Review financial models and valuation analyses.
  6. Assist in post-close integration planning and tracking of diligence items.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA, CFA, or MBA is a plus.
  • Relevant experience in transaction advisory, corporate development, investment banking, or audit with exposure to M&A.
  • Strong financial analysis and accounting skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting findings effectively.
