Sign on bonus available to qualified experienced drillers if zero training is required on any single or combination of the following drill rigs: Stopemaster TH or ITH, Cubex 6200 ITH, Orion ITH, V30 with Cubex, Stopemate TH, Simba M4 TH or ITH, or Solo DU311 ITH. An operational assessment for competency will determine qualification post hiring.

Job Responsibilities
  • Follow all established policies, procedures and best practices as well as the law at all times.
  • Perform duties in a safe manner, taking care of equipment and coworkers.
  • Maintain the general condition and obtain optimum life out of all site equipment and tools.
  • Train new drillers in a safe environment.
  • Be physically fit for work.
  • Work under the instructions of a driller/drilling field supervisor or division manager.
  • Work safely and follow EHS policies and procedures and conduct local risk control.
  • Have the ability to apply first aid.
  • Support drilling operations: mix drilling fluids, perform basic maintenance of tools and equipment, housekeeping, supplies count, perform basic measurements and calculations, carry out basic operator maintenance, complete pre‑start checks.
  • Maintain accurate operating records, including daily drill reports and inventory logs.
  • Contribute to and establish effective workplace relationships.
Position Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid First Aid/CPR Certificate.
  • Strong language, literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Labor background considered an asset.
  • 2+ years of directly related experience.
  • Exposure to different drilling environments and techniques is preferred.
  • Successful candidate must meet the Fitness for Duty program standards.
  • Ontario Common Core (records to be submitted).
