Located at 109 7717 Beedie Way, Delta BC Canada V4G0A5 we haveimmediate vacancies for 5 Long Haul Truck Drivers.

Term of employment: Full-time, Permanent Position
Where: Travel across Canada and USA with base at 7717 Beedie Way, Delta BC Canada V4G0A5
Shifts:Weekdays, Weekends, Evenings
Salary:$36.60 per hour for 40 hours per week, overtime after 60 hours per week at the rate of 1.5 times.
Benefits: Option to sign up for extended medical/dental benefits after successful completion of the probationary period

Job requirements:

  • Credentials:Class 1 or A driver's license with air brake endorsement.
  • Education: High School
  • Experience:No experience required. On the job training will be provided

Additional Skills:

  • Basic English is required to understand road signs and fill logbook
  • Be able to work in individuals or in a team
  • Clean driving abstract

Duties:

  • Operate and drive trucks /trailer to transport goods and material to destinations all over Canada and USA.
  • Oversee all aspects of vehicle such as condition of equipment, loading and unloading, and safety and security of cargo.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspection of vehicle systems and equipment.
  • Maintain logbook, record cargo information, distance travelled, fuel consumption and other information in logbook.
  • Obtain special permits to cross Canada/USA borders.
  • Coordinate with dispatcher.
  • Perform emergency roadside repairs.
