Position Summary
This is a full-time, on-site position in Lloydminster, AB. The Logistics Administrator is responsible for supporting outbound shipping and logistics operations for Upstream Data Inc.’s Canadian and U.S. locations. This role ensures shipments are prepared, documented, and tracked accurately while maintaining compliance with domestic and cross-border regulations. In addition to logistics responsibilities, the role provides support to the parts and inventory area during periods of low shipping activity. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and capable of balancing multiple priorities while maintaining excellent communication with internal teams, carriers, and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day outbound shipments for Canadian and U.S. locations, including preparing packing slips, bills of lading, and courier documentation
- Assist with basic shipping and receiving tasks, staging outgoing orders, and verifying incoming deliveries
- Report discrepancies, damaged goods, or missing items as needed
- Support the parts and inventory area during periods of low logistics activity
- Schedule pickups and deliveries with couriers and freight providers
- Coordinate domestic and cross-border shipments to meet operational and customer timelines
- Communicate shipping requirements and delivery updates to internal teams and external partners
- Prepare and review customs and trade documentation for shipments between Canada and the U.S., including tariffs and HS codes
- Liaise with customs brokers and freight forwarders to ensure shipments are processed accurately and compliantly
- Ensure shipping activities meet applicable transportation and trade regulations
- Track shipments and provide timely updates to internal teams
- Maintain accurate shipment and compliance records in ERP systems or internal tracking tools
- Assist with logistics reporting and process improvement initiatives
Qualifications & Skills
- Post-secondary education in logistics, supply chain, or business administration is an asset
- 2+ years of experience in shipping, logistics, or administrative support preferred
- Familiarity with domestic and cross-border shipping between Canada and the United States
- Knowledge of customs documentation, HS codes, and tariff considerations is an asset
- Experience supporting shipping, receiving, or inventory operations is an asset
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook) and shipping/ERP systems is preferred
- Valid driver’s license with access to reliable transportation
- Ability to provide a clean driver’s abstract upon request
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Working Conditions
- Primarily office-based, with regular interaction with warehouse, shipping, and parts/inventory areas
- Occasional time spent on the shipping floor or production areas to support logistics or inventory tasks
- May require lifting or moving small packages and materials in line with safe lifting practices
- Standard business hours, with occasional flexibility required to meet shipping deadlines or carrier schedules
