About us The Volunteer Well is a Canadian non-profit dedicated to fostering an inclusive and compassionate society by connecting volunteers (“givers”) with individuals in need (“receivers”). Through our direct-source volunteering model, we empower individuals, strengthen families, and unite communities — especially women, seniors, newcomers, low-income individuals, and other marginalized groups. Our mission is carried out through the Generosity Hub (currently managed via our private FacebookGroup Marketplace), community programs and events, partnerships with businesses and philanthropists, and advocacy for generosity as a positive force for social change. By breaking down barriers to support and encouraging a culture of giving and receiving, we envision a world where kindness, justice, and human connection thrive.
Be part of a passionate team dedicated to strengthening communities. Build meaningful relationships with local organizations and volunteers. Gain practical experience in community outreach, coordination, and event planning. Contribute to programs that promote inclusion and compassion. Work in a hybrid environment — mostly remote, with 4–5 local events every six months.
The Local Chapter Lead serves as the main community contact for The Volunteer Well in their city or region. This hybrid role blends remote coordination, outreach, and reporting with limited in-person participation (approximately 4–5 events every six months). You’ll coordinate small community events, connect with partners, and support volunteer onboarding—strengthening awareness of the Generosity Hub and building lasting community relationships.
At least six months of experience in community outreach, volunteer coordination, or event facilitation. Strong interpersonal and relationship‑building skills. Organized, dependable, and comfortable communicating with diverse groups. Familiarity with your region’s nonprofit and community networks (an asset). Self‑motivated and aligned with our values of inclusion, compassion, and shared responsibility.
The Volunteer Well is committed to equity, diversity, and inclusion. We welcome applications from Indigenous, Black, racialized, and 2SLGBTQ+ communities, women, newcomers, persons with disabilities, and other equity‑deserving groups. Lived experience is considered a valuable asset and an important form of expertise.
