The County of San Diego is currently accepting applications for the position of Licensed Vocational Nurse. LVNs provide skilled nursing care to patients and clients at public health clinics, behavioral health clinics (locked, inpatient, and day treatment) or long-term skilled nursing facilities.

This position is eligible for appointment at step 5, $66,497.60 annually.
Possession of a current license to practice vocational nursing in the State of California at time of appointment.
Interviews will take place on Tuesdays. Qualifying applicants will be invited via email to schedule an interview. The selected candidates will receive a same-day job offer and may be required to complete background paperwork immediately.
As part of the County of San Diego’s pre-employment process, candidates will undergo a background check (including fingerprinting) and a pre-employment medical screening prior to beginning County employment. Additional background investigations may be conducted based on the job-related activities of the position. Current County employees may be excluded from this process.
The names of qualified applicants will be placed on a six (6) month employment list based on scores from the evaluation of information in the application and supplemental questionnaire. If successful in the initial screening, the application will be reviewed to confirm information is accurate.
