310T Heavy Duty Technician

Location: Cote Gold

Kal Tire is Canada’s largest independent tire dealer and one of North America’s largest commercial tire dealers. Our Mining Tire Group is a leader in mining tire service and supply, servicing more than 150 mine sites across five continents.

About Cote Gold: The Côté Gold Project is located in the Chester and Yeo Townships, District of Sudbury, in northeastern Ontario. It is approximately 20 km southwest of Gogama, 130 km southwest of Timmins, and 200 km northwest of Sudbury, near Highway 144. The area features gentle hills, forests, lakes, and rivers, situated on two subwatersheds: the Mollie River system and the Mesomikenda River system. The continental watershed divide is located south of the project property, more than 3.5 km from the proposed open-pit location.

Schedule and Transportation: This position operates on a 2-week in, 2-week out schedule, with potential changes to 1-week in, 1-week out, based on an averaging agreement. Candidates must be based out of Timmins, Sudbury, or North Bay (or surrounding areas). Cote provides camp and bus transportation from muster points in Sudbury, Timmins (Kal Tire), and Gogama.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform repairs on a wide range of vehicles in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
• Conduct inspections, diagnostics, adjustments, automotive service, and general maintenance.

Qualifications:

• Certified with 310T Automotive Service Technician or licensed Mechanic.
• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with front-end brakes, shocks, and wheel alignment.
• Skilled in inspections, diagnostics, adjustments, service, and repair on various vehicles.
• Ability to work in physically demanding conditions involving heavy lifting and movement.
• Strong attention to detail and methodical problem-solving skills.
• Experience in a safety-focused environment.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to assist in identifying mechanical opportunities with the Sales team.
