Overview

An accomplished and prestigious law firm in Glendale, CA is seeking a qualified Legal Assistant to join their litigation team. The office is rapidly expanding and wants to welcome a new member to be part of their Fortune 500 team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a legal office and personal injury. The firm prides itself on an office culture that promotes teamwork, passion and a fast-paced environment. Our law firm needs a Legal Assistant to assist our Personal Injury Department.

Responsibilities:
  • Work in a team environment to ensure the preparation of documents.
  • Organizing, distributing, or tracking documents according to departmental procedures.
  • Ensure filing, preparation, and scanning of documents and correspondence.
  • Keep detailed records of all incoming documents and file accordingly.
  • Maintain communication with clients and provide case updates promptly.
  • Assist in the preparation and filing of legal documents with state and federal court.
  • Assist in the preparation for court proceedings (including, but not limited to, assisting with trial preparation, and maintaining communication with clients and experts).
  • Organize and maintain electronic case files within the company software/case management system.
  • Perform a variety of office related activities to support Department functions including back-up of co-workers and front desk responsibilities.
Qualifications:
  • At least 1 year of legal experience, specifically in Personal Injury
  • 1+ years of experience using Microsoft Excel, edit, sort/filter and save spreadsheets (can maintain complex spreadsheets).
  • 1+ years of office experience
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not required
  • Experience with Case Management Software
  • You must be able to work under pressure—things change fast around here.
  • Must be Covid Vaccinated
