Summary

Are you an experienced AV professional who loves creating flawless live event experiences? Do you get energized by being onsite, leading technical execution, and bringing a client’s vision to life? If so, we’d love to meet you.

We’re looking for a Lead Technician, Production to take a hands‑on role in delivering exceptional audiovisual experiences. You’ll manage full technical execution, from load‑in to operation to load‑out, ensuring every detail runs smoothly, efficiently, and to the highest standard.

As the onsite technical lead, you’ll coordinate workflow, guide technicians, and represent EPiQVision with professionalism, problem‑solving, and a first‑class client‑focused attitude. You’ll also collaborate with Operations and Production Managers before each event to review technical requirements.

This is a full‑time role based and is in‑person/onsite.

Job Duties
Technical Execution
  • Load in, set up, operate, dismantle, and load out AV systems in a technically correct and efficient manner
  • Lead onsite technical workflows and support crews to ensure successful event execution
  • Collaborate with Production team to create signal flow diagrams and onsite plans
  • Review equipment manifests and event‑related documents
  • Complete inspection forms, daily reports, and other required documentation
Leadership & Communication
  • Provide onsite support, mentorship, and training to production staff
  • Relay critical information from the jobsite to internal teams
  • Maintain professional conduct, appearance, and communication at all times
  • Deliver a proactive, solutions‑oriented approach to client engagement
Other
  • Assist with additional tasks as required for overall event success

Requirements
  • High school diploma is required. Post‑secondary education in event production, technical production, music production, or equivalent training is preferred
  • 3‑5 years of audio‑visual experience
  • Proficiency with:
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Drive)
  • Ability to adapt to new tech platforms
  • Experience using digital audio consoles
  • Experience using video switchers
  • Proficient in oral and written communication in English
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment
  • Strong prioritization and problem‑solving abilities
  • A professional attitude, high level of integrity, and strong work ethic
