A regional health authority is seeking a Lead, Indigenous Engagement to spearhead diverse health initiatives aimed at improving Indigenous health outcomes. Interior Health is looking for a permanent full time Lead, Indigenous Engagement to join our team in a role focused on meaningful change and collaboration within Indigenous health initiatives. You’ll work closely with Indigenous communities and health leaders to design strategic programs, foster impactful partnerships, and drive culturally safe healthcare solutions. This position offers a unique opportunity to lead change, advocate for Indigenous perspectives, and contribute to meaningful improvements in health outcomes.
The worksite location for this position is flexible and can be located anywhere within the Interior Health region. Travel is a requirement for this position.
Salary range for the position is $88,990 to $127,923. Interior Health establishes salaries within the minimum and maximum of the salary range based on consideration of the qualifications, experience of the applicant, and an internal equity review of the salaries of other employees.
In accordance with established vision and values of the organization, the Lead, Indigenous Engagement will set design strategy, standard and direction for programs that fall within the Indigenous Engagement portfolio; collaborate with other portfolios to ensure the seamless integration of client-centered services. Assessing and identifying critical issues and opportunities in health care, the incumbent will develop strategic recommendations for leadership to advance key Indigenous initiatives. Crucial to the success of the position is the ability to analyze and consolidate Ministry and IH objectives, develop strong engagement with Indigenous communities and health leaders, and lead change initiatives aimed at improving health outcomes for Indigenous people in the interior.
This position will lead and manage a variety of strategic initiatives, support IH program and operational leadership in engaging with Nation and community partners to facilitate ongoing collaboration and effective implementation of joint priorities.
