This is a site‑based position with occasional non‑standard hours, supporting power distribution and critical power infrastructure across Canada.

Typical Day
  • Installs and modifies electrical apparatus on customer sites.
  • Troubleshoots machinery/equipment to identify and correct malfunctions; performs preventive and corrective maintenance.
  • Maintains, repairs, retrofits, and provides technical support for all Schneider products, both in the shop and on site.
  • Performs testing, checking, correcting, adjusting and part component replacement services on customer products.
  • circuits and equipment utilizing various tools and machines such as computers, workstations, circuit diagram.
  • Consults with engineering and product support teams to resolve complex issues.
  • Provides start‑up services and ensures compliance with specifications.
  • Builds strong customer relationships and delivers exceptional service reports.
  • Completes field service reports, expense reports, preventive maintenance, and startup data sheets.
On Some Days You May Even
  • Travel regionally or nationwide (including overnight trips) for customer support.
  • Assist senior technicians and collaborate with Project Managers on large‑scale start‑ups.
What We’re Looking For
  • Experience: Minimum 10 years in field service or equivalent industry experience.
  • Education: Engineering technologist, technician, journeyman electrician, or equivalent (Associate’s degree, trade/vocational certification, military training).
  • Technical Skills:
    • Understanding of AC/DC power principles and electrical components.
    • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and interpret technical documentation.
    • Skilled in using diagnostic tools and test equipment.
  • Customer Focus: Excellent communication skills and ability to build trust.
  • Safety First: Adherence to safety practices (Lockout/Tagout, NFPA‑70E, OSHA preferred).
  • Other Requirements:
    • Bilingual French/English (mandatory).
    • Comfortable with physical tasks (lifting up to 40 lbs, working in confined spaces, and outdoor environments).
    • Computer literacy (Windows software).
    • Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
