Labourer-Firewatch, Belledune, New Brunswick

Interfor Belledune Divison NB is seeking energetic and enthusiastic team players to join our team as a Labourer-Firewatch.

What You’ll Do
  • Responsible for monitoring work being performed and ensuring hot work is under control.
  • Keep areas of work clean and organized.
  • Other tasks as required, as assigned by supervisor.
What You Offer
  • Experience in a sawmill operation will be an asset.
  • Strong commitment to safety.
  • Ability to remain calm in emergencies, respond quickly, and follow all reporting and safety procedures.
  • Ability to work evenings/nights and remain awake and alert at a fixed location.
  • Strong observation skills and ability to patrol for signs of fire or any other unusual events.
  • Ability to lift +/- 50 lbs.
  • Ability to take initiative.

  • Work schedule:2-2-3 Rotation, 2 weeks day, 2 weeks night
