A regional health service provider is looking for a Medical Laboratory Assistant I to provide high quality service in a clinical laboratory environment. You will handle and test specimens while ensuring an effective and safe service. Strong communication and multi-tasking skills are required for this role. The position is part-time with shifts on days, evenings, and weekends. This is a temporary position with defined posting and end dates, located in the Town of Raymond, Alberta.

Your Opportunity

Raymond Laboratory/X-ray department is located in the Raymond Health Care Centre and serves the town as well as its surrounding area. Raymond Alberta is located 30 minutes from Lethbridge Alberta and 1 hour from the Coutts, Montana border. The Raymond location is staffed with an experienced team of Laboratory and X-ray professionals and Medical Laboratory Assistants that offer strong patient‑focused service to their community.

Description

As a Medical Laboratory Assistant I, you will provide high quality service to clients of the clinical laboratory in an effective, efficient and safe manner. You will be responsible for a variety of laboratory functions including procurement, handling, processing, dispatching and testing of specimens, performing procedures and reporting results.
