In terms of location, you could be based in the Southeast or in the Northwest; however, there will be a great deal of hybrid working either at home/office or being out seeing the major clients you would be responsible for.

This is a long-standing and established team where you would be working with excellent management and underwriting teams.

The account management function is to manage specific clients, including day-to-day relationships, all service delivery matters, growth, profitability, pricing renewals, contract negotiations, and first-line regulatory compliance topics. The scope also covers product and business development, including cross-selling other Partners' products and services. The post-holder will work closely with the Commercial, Underwriting, Finance, and Operations teams. Being a leadership role, it is expected that there will be greater involvement in delivering company strategy and targets while upholding the company’s pillars, ethos, and framework.

This Key Account Manager role would be working within their Home Emergency & Motor Roadside Assistance division, where you will be responsible for managing a team of 3 Account Managers.

Ideal applicants will have previous experience within insurance/general insurance, and it is key that you have managed relationships with one of the following: large corporations/brokers or financial institutions.

This is not a pure new business role; however, there will be an element of cross-selling within the company’s various divisions, and the main focus will be on servicing the existing Key accounts and maintaining these.

  • Drive and oversee commercial development of the existing portfolio of partners, developing and implementing growth initiatives to reach sales targets: Maintain and expand the relationship with existing partners in terms of revenues, profitability, franchise value, and new product introduction.
  • Keep up to date with each partner’s vision and market trends to conduct informed discussions, including new solutions opportunities that could meet client opportunities with a co-design approach.
  • Elaborate partner’s account strategy: submit a development plan for the account, spending about 50% of time working on new product opportunities (up-sell, cross-sell, bundled offers), KPIs projection, and human technical resources requirements.
  • Manage the entire selling process: Identify, target, and capture new sales revenue opportunities through a coordinated multifunction sales effort as well as support implementation. Responsible for collecting premium.
  • Monitor partners' accounts, including profitability and other KPIs, with the support of the local Business Performance Tracking Team, and refine account approach to re-adjust account strategy. Monitor performance, including sales and marketing methods, product penetration, and claims trends analysis.
  • Collaborate transversally with BLs, Underwriting, Finance, Marketing, etc., to maximize business opportunities for the account.
  • Renegotiate contracts renewal and manage new tenders, keeping a firm position on account current and future size and profitability.

KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Driven, passionate, and goal-oriented, and career-driven.
  • Account Planning & Management - Proven experience of successfully leading business-to-business relationships.
  • Strong business and commercial acumen.
  • Excellent consultative selling skills.
  • Experience of identifying and delivering new revenue streams from existing accounts.
  • Experience of dealing with director-level staff in business-to-business relationships.
  • Commercial in-depth awareness of product markets in insurance, banking, utility, and add-on market.
  • Proven evidence of strong communication and ability to influence and gain buy-in at all levels.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload in order to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task, particularly under pressure.
  • Resilient and tenacious with a positive outlook, strong propensity to persevere in a moving environment.
  • Analytics & Performance Management – High level ability to know and use performance KPIs and to analyse numerical data.
