Qualifications:
- Engineering Graduate (B.Eng), preferably in Chemical Engineering
- At least 2 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in the tissue industry
- Knowledge of paper making and converting processes
- Strong ability to understand and apply new concepts and processes correctly
- Self-motivated, proactive, able to take initiative and ownership
- Project management skills, including A3 problem-solving and Gantt chart creation
- Effective presentation and communication skills at leadership and operational levels
- Leadership, mentoring, and coaching abilities
- Willing to travel up to 20% of the time
- Knowledge of pulp mill processes (asset)
- Knowledge of Yankee dryer management systems (asset)
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that finished product lab equipment is adequate and standardized through continuous monitoring, Measurement System Analyses (MSAs), Round Robin tests, and SOPs.
- Maintain an updated and standardized equipment list for all finished product testing labs.
- Review and verify the accuracy of all standard operating test procedures.
- Organize equipment MSAs, analyze, report results, and distribute reports.
- Participate in the annual Round Robin program, collect and distribute samples, gather data, analyze results, and report findings.
- Use Round Robin reports to identify gaps and document action items.
- Audit finished product testing across sites to ensure procedural adherence and document discrepancies.
- Compile consumer complaints for branded and private labels weekly/monthly, and distribute reports.
- Manage private label complaints, transfer data to SharePoint, and track actions in Power BI.
- Issue bi-weekly Certificates of Analysis (COAs).
- Properly categorize complaints, calculate Parts Per Million (PPM), and compile monthly consumer complaint reports.
- Analyze complaint data for trends and improvement opportunities.
- Generate reports for trials and competitive analysis.
- Support product development with detailed data analysis.
- Report on competitor product insights and changes.
- Compile data and generate reports using Power BI.
