MPE Division of Englobe is seeking a Junior Electrical Designer to join our Lethbridge office.

The successful candidate (EIT or Technologist) will play a key role in design and project support within MPE’s Electrical Team.

Your Contribution

• Preparing cost estimates, technical reports, meeting minutes, design drawings, specifications, and contract documents under guidance of senior staff.
• Electrical System Design including but not limited to:
• Power distribution and emergency backup (up to 750V)
• Lighting
• Fire Alarm
• Security, door access, and controls
• Communications and networking
• Automation and Control
• Providing technical assistance on multi-disciplinary projects
• Applying applicable codes, including the Canadian Electrical Code
• Conducting construction inspections to ensure design compliance
• Liaising with clients, consultants, regulatory agencies, utility companies, and contractors
• Maintaining knowledge of safety policies and procedures
• AutoCAD and Revit experience is an asset
• Maintaining client relationships

Your Profile

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a relevant diploma from an accredited institution
• Eligible for APEGA or ASET membership
• Good verbal and technical writing skills
• Understanding of general construction methods
• Valid driver’s license (some travel may be required)
• Ability to work effectively in a team
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
