About the Role

The role of a Junior Buyer consists of being involved in handling administrative tasks such as order processing and providing clients with queries regarding deliveries and orders. They must be reliable and possess a professional record keeping track with a great attention to detail and order.

Responsibilities
  • Effective communication supply chain information throughout the organization
  • Monitor MRP demand and plan procurement of material
  • Review purchase order requisitions
  • Place, expedite and received purchase orders
  • Monitor material in transit and resolve issues causing delays
  • Maintain and develop vendor relations
  • Negotiate price reductions and resolve disputes with existing vendors
  • Communicate and enforce quality requirements with vendors
  • Collaborate with quality control teams to initiate RMAs and Corrective Actions with vendors
  • Data Management – maintain accurate records including purchase orders, quotations and other relevant documentation.
Education
  • Completed Post high school Education or
  • 2 Years of Purchasing Experience
Skills / Requirements
  1. Proficiency in using enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
  2. Strong MS Excel skills for data analysis and reporting
  3. Organization skills – strong attention to detail
  4. Ability to work effectively within a team environment
  5. Strong negotiating skills
  6. Excellent communication skills. Very good English with the ability to communicate with the vendors in a highly professional manner
  7. Positive attitude and a willingness to learn new tasks as assigned.
