Position Details
- Location: Toronto (required to attend 3 times a week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays)
- Contract Duration: Start ASAP, end date: 12/26/2025

Story Behind the Need
- Business Group: Corporate Functions Technology – supporting marketing, HR, finance, and risk. The Risk Technology organization within this group primarily serves operational risk stakeholders.
- Project: Focused on the financial risk domain, involving data analytics, reporting, regulatory reporting, and advanced analytics. This role requires technical expertise, with exposure to the financial domain being a plus.
- Domain Knowledge: Banking, Insurance, Risk, Financial Risk Management, Retention Management
Responsibilities
- Typical Day in Role
- Interacting with end users to understand their data and reporting needs.
- Working with a technology stack centered on Microsoft. Understanding current requirements.
- Collaborating with internal IT stakeholders, including architects, the data office, and the AML team. Ensuring collaboration with other project stakeholders and fulfilling their requests and best practices around delivery areas.
- Providing all necessary information to architects to complete the project.
- In a senior role, assisting offshore junior resources with their questions and being involved in the execution of solutions (Azure, SQL Server, Power BI, Power Apps platform required).

Qualifications
- Must-Have Skills
- 1. 4+ years experience as junior anaylst
- 2. Familiarity with Microsoft Technologies like SQL, Microsoft Azure
- 3. Prior experience in building OLAP and OLTP-based data analytics and business intelligence systems.
- 4. Requirement Gathering, Business Requirement Documentation (BRD), Power BI, Power Apps and Power Automate
- Nice-to-Have Skills
- 1. Familiarity with the financial risk domain
Education
Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science or computer engineering. A mathematical background is also acceptable. A Master’s degree is preferred.

- First round – mostly technical (45 minutes)
- Second round – discussion on personality and soft skills (30 minutes)
